Holidays with your dog
Taking your dog on holiday is an enriching experience for both owner and four-legged friend. At the Camping della Colombaia in Padenghe sul Garda dogs are allowed and we are happy to offer pet-friendly accommodation to welcome you and your faithful companions. A camping holiday with your dog on Lake Garda means freedom, nature and moments of pure relaxation, without having to give up the company of your four-legged friend. Our campsite surrounded by greenery is the ideal starting point for excursions with your dog, walks along the shore or on the hills behind the campsite. From the centre of Padenghe you can take a nature trail to discover the Balosse wetlands or relax at the Vaso Rì Park.
One of the main advantages of travelling with your dog is that you can avoid the stress and costs associated with finding a pet-friendly pension. By bringing your dog with you, you can share every moment of your holiday, strengthening the bond and providing your furry friend with a familiar and reassuring environment.
Many guests ask us if they can bring their dog to the beach, the answer is yes, but under certain conditions. In Padenghe sul Garda dogs can be taken along the lakeside promenade (you can access it directly from the campsite), always on a leash, and access to the beach and water is only allowed from 7pm to 9am. It is compulsory to be equipped with tools to collect droppings, and for breeds considered aggressive, a muzzle is required.
During the rest of the day, dogs can stay on our private jetty or go to a nearby dog beach. The closest dog beach to the campsite, which can be reached in 30 minutes on foot, is the one in Moniga sul Garda, located at the end of the lakeside promenade.
For those who wish to discover other beaches accompanied by their dog, there are several dog-friendly beaches in the vicinity, such as:
Fido Beach in Manerba del Garda - equipped with sunbeds, parasols and a dog-friendly area.
Dog-friendly beach in Salò - in Via Tavine there is a free beach accessible to dogs without time restrictions.
Desenzano del Garda - there is a stretch of beach between the Spiaggia d'Oro Beach and Porto Rivoltella where dogs can swim freely.
Braccobaldo Beach in Peschiera del Garda - one of the best equipped and most popular with dog owners.
Of course, if you continue northwards, the beaches where you can bathe with dogs do not end.
